For the last few years I’ve tagged along to the Big End Of Year Run which is organised by Kieran for each New Year’s Eve. What started as him and some mates doing a half marathon on the streets of London has grown to hundreds of people joining them. Unfortunately in 2020 with the Lockdown restrictions it wasn’t possible to organise on this scale. The plan was still to run where and when you could on New Year’s eve and to share it virtually.
I got in touch with Paul and we arranged to do the actual route on the 31st together. So we did. It was great to catch up with Paul and crazy that we hadn’t seen each other again since he was volunteering at Detling on the NDW100 back in August. It feels like yesterday we ran around London together (yep, I’m still harping on about it!). We spent the few hours talking pretty much nothing other than running. It was perfect. There was a lot of plotting and scheming going on and the beginning of some new challenges and adventures started to form…
