Run With Louise

You’ll recognise this face from a previous post, a woman who needs no further introduction from me. Since our last run she has become “the last woman standing” in the 100 day challenge as, sadly, after Lydia’s injury, she’s out on her own.

This was day 82 out of 100 in her run streak (and 8 out of 25 for me). We met early before work (conveniently we are nearby) and set off on through the local side streets down towards the river, running along Embankment and across Westminster towards Waterloo. It was a surprisingly quiet morning by London standards. I was yet again amazed by the energy and enthusiasm Louise was bringing to her run streak, admittedly, after just a few days I was feeling the strain and pressures of the self-motivation required. Towards the end of the run we detoured through Leake Street tunnel for a cheeky photo opportunity (and some bossing about from Louise and much confusion from me resulting in no jump shots!) before finishing up back at the christened “hi-five corner” for a big hi-five. Boom. Last woman standing and going strong!
